Welcome to our 3rd annual Showtime Sires bred gilt sale. Bidding on this set of bred gilts begins now and will end at noon on Dec. 3rd, 2011. Following the close of bids on Dec. 3rd, we will then start with the highest bid gilt and call all bidders on this individual and essentially auction her off via telephone until a final bid is reached. If you were not the winning bidder on this lot, you may then place a bid on another gilt of lesser bid price. We will continue to do this until all lots have reached a final sale price. This process usually will take us approximately 4-5 hours to complete, so please have a telephone number that we will be able to easily reach you on Saturday afternoon. All of our gilts will carry an 8 live pig guarantee and based of a 60% sow / 40% litter value. For example, if your gilt was purchased for $1000, and she farrows 6 live pigs, the value of that litter is $400. You were two pigs short, so your credit will be $100. Cooperative delivery will be available. West coast delivery will be available via The Livestock Limo. Please call before the sale ends with delivery need. 1. All potential buyers
must register to bid by providing us with their Name, Address, and
Telephone number(s) (best to be reached on Saturday, December 3rd). You
may provide this information by contacting us by phone, email, or from
the place bid page.
2. Bids may be placed anytime from Nov. 27th
through Dec. 3rd at 12:00 pm by contacting us from phone, email, or the
place bid form.
3. Bids will be by $50 increments up to
$1000, and $100 increments over $1000
4. Bids will be updated online nightly.
5. At 12:00 P.M. CST on December 3rd bids
will close. At this time, we will begin calling people who have bid on
gilts, starting with the highest priced lot. Once bidding is finalized
on said gilt, the contending bidder will have the opportunity to place
a bid on a different gilt if so desired. This process usually will take us approximately 4-5 hours to complete, so please have a telephone number that we will be able to easily reach you on Saturday afternoon.
6. Please make sure you provide us with
the best number possible to reach you on Saturday, December 3rd in the
afternoon and evening. We will work through this process as timely as
possible.
7. Currently, we have a scheduled load
headed to the east through Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.
Also delivery will be available to the west coast and points along the
way via The Livestock Limo. Cooperative delivery is also available to
destinations in the North and South.
Our Guarantee:
All gilts are guaranteed bred with an 8 live pig guarantee. If this
guarantee is not met, you will receive credit towards future purchases
of breeding stock, showpigs, or semen. The amount of credit is
determined based off the value of the gilt being 60% of the purchase
price and the litter she is carrying at 40%. So if you buy a gilt for
$1000, and she has only 6 pigs, the amount of credit you will get is
$100.
